RESCUED SEAHORSES Hundreds of fry ...

linesider 18 posts

Yep... Im on a rescue mission corals, fish anything.. i would rather try than to see the demise of the animal..

Ok so the story starts at fish distributor place, friends of mine. They have a couple paired seahorses for sale and one pair decided to have hundreds of tiny babies..now seeing that there is no way there holding tanks will be able to raise the fry. i decided to rescue them...
I been online asking around best practices for raising fry and looks like one of the main issues is feeding. It requires live fresh enriched food.. I don't have as much as they need(2liters or more a day). Spoke with Dr.G's and he is willing to help with a couple strains so I could start my own culture for raising Artemas and brine but it takes time before i could use it.. i have most if not all the equipment  needed to raise these seahorses..

Does anyone here know anything about them they would like to share?   Maybe donate some brine, copopods, baby brine ect..

Hey just seeing this. You need to feed some rotifers and hard boiled egg yolk. Days 3 - 10 add bbs and wean off of in a gradual process to the bbs that are fresh and less than 12 hours old.

I have some stuff they will eat for sure especially at this stage in their life!
I only ask that I get some if they survive (compensated for ofcourse)
