| All live purchases are double bagged with oxygen and securely packed into a Styrofoam box .Heating or cooling packs are added, as necessary, to ensure a comfortable travel. Cartons are clearly marked with handling requirements so delivery personnel can use extra care when handling. These steps are taken to protect your live order. |
Our shipping and acclimation procedures have been established to give our live products the best chance for survival. If you follow proper acclimation procedures and experience a loss, Saltwater Discount will replace the specimen or you can use the cost of the specimen towards the purchase price of another specimen (shipping charges are not covered). Our Guarantee begins when your order is shipped and expires after 48 hours. Losses that appear to have died from trauma or bad water conditions will not be covered. Losses during this period must be reported via email along with a digital photo of the specimen as evidence of the loss. The email and photo must arrive within the 48 hour period. If the email is not sent during the 48 hour period, there will be no guarantee. For the guarantee to be in place, someone must be there to accept the package at the time of delivery or the guarantee is void.
Guarantee only applies to specimens shipped for overnight delivery, we are not liable for weather related issues, late arrivals or problems caused by the carrier. For those issues, you must contact the carrier and file a claim. Please note, our Arrive alive stay alive guarantee only applies to the original shipment , there is no guarantee on replacement items.
