gluing leathers and softies to a rock as never worked for me and, i have tried many times. I will run into some one who is telling someone or me thats how they do it. I am thinking in my head they no way! It will jump, in just a few days. The two ways i have found that works is pinch it in between to rocks and glue the rocks togather or what i do the most is take a plastic tooth pick and pearce the base of my frag and rubberband the tooth pick to the rock. i tried only once a small butter bowl with the bottom filled with rubble rock and just wedge it in with the rock thinking that the current couldnt carry it away but i found some of my critters rustling through the rubble and i ended up digging and chasing my frag around the tank. as far as mushrooms i have cut it like a pie and you leave a piece of the mouth on each one but talk about a slimy mess i just rather let them go and grow.

I do leathers all the time. I have like 15 6 rocks in all. All you do is take needle and thread (thicker) and soe it on the rock. About 1 month later youll be able to pull off any visable thread. Yeah I do mushrooms the same, its pretty slimey cutting into pies, I wait till they extend and cut the cap right off. put the cap in shell bed will adhear in 1 week then glue the shell to a rock. the stem will grow a new shroom in couple weeks. getin isn't necessarily doing anything "wrong"...just some people have luck with certain ways of propagating certain corals than others. i know getin frags his leathers A LOT, and is successful in his method...honestly, i feel like trying every method until one works for you, and then sticking with that method is the way to go. nothing is really "right" or "wrong" as long as it works for you, you know?

it might just me. its like if you super glue your fingers together and you pull them a part one finger will loose the skin and the other will have the glue and the skin from the other finger. in the beginning i tried it that way over 20 times and not one time worked. if it a LPS gluing is the way to go. leathers and softies i cant do it. could you tell me how you do it and maybe i can see what im doing wrong. thanks everyone!

Pic would be a great help too, i have never frag any kind of corals before(only 6 months reefing) and would love to see actual pics or short vid on how to frag whatever the coral might be LPS SPS Leather shrooms. any thing.

you shouldn't be sorry. we all have the wright to disagree. its all good on my side. i still like to know how you do it. what type of leathers. the glue you use. drying time etc. i would like to learn your way of doing it so i can better myself in the propagation of corals. thanks

Well my thing is i have been fortunate i guess but i have done nothing but cut and glue and as fast as possible put it in the water glue hardens instantly. And let them be thats all ive done.
