Thanks for the info. I think I will set one up this weekend sound like fun. I never thought I would waste my food on Aiptasia to grow more.
I am a fan of Berghia Nudi's for Aiptasia removal. Even if you do not have them they can be raised for preventive management. I learned this after a failed attempt of trying it myself. Raising them you need two tanks 20gal. would be fine for starters because your not just raising nudi's your also raising Aiptasia. Your Aiptasia tank you need average lighting, filtration, heater, golf ball sized rubble rock and of course Aiptasia's. Running it for several month before getting you Berghia's. Feeding your aiptasia heavy once they are covering everything it's time for your nudi's. You will want to buy 4 or more to get started. With Berghia all you need is tank, water, heater, lid and, a cheap little filter with out its guts so you can have a little water flow. No rock no sand or lighting its got to be a bare tank because a lot of the pod family and other things love to eat there egg. To feed them just place a rock with a few aiptasia's on it in with your nudi's and take it back out when they are gone. They do breed fairly fast so in 6 or 8 months your going to have several more than when you started. To someone who is battling them you could sell them for 20.00 or more apiece. I would say 4 per 50gal. is needed and, it takes about 6 month for almost total removal if the case was bad. As the preventive part these are just ideas wanting to see what you all think of them and, hoping for feed back. One would be placing your new coral in the tank for a day to be check over and cleaned by the nudi's. Another would be any rock that you would want to add to your tank. Well I am sure i left something out its normal for me. Hope you found this tread something. LOL
