hey, i love your Christmas wrasse...I bought one a while back...He got in the tank, got scared, buried himself in the sand...Wrasses do that, and i've heard people who have been missing wrasses for weeks and then they just pop up...so i waited and didn't think anything of it...then i found him dead above the sand a week later...i was sad...they are so pretty!  he was so healthy!  and my tank is perfect!  no idea what happened...still ticks me off to think about it...k, now i'm mad...lol!  but nice tank, once again!  -Ash

yea ash i had to fish die for no reason lsat week but it just happens sometimes my bud had a wrasse barry its self for like 2 months till he cam back out it was funny

Yeh I used to have a yellow corse wras that barried itself for about 1 week in a tank that I had baught but didn't do anything with right away and when I went to set it up and put water in the tank he came out of the sand . I have a pair of the christmas wras to if you notice them both you can see the deffrince

Yea thats the one that my buddy had that burried the same way it use to be johns that thing was crazy

I just lost my carpetner wrasse this week, i was so sad.  The cleaning of the tank stressed the poor lil guy out.

I LOST ALMOST ALL MY FISH THIS WEEK!!

What going on Russ you loosiing a lot of fishes lately.

The wholesaler i used to buy from said that they had a wrasse hide like that for 4 yrs. They had no clue that he was still in there. One day they put a new, different kind of wrasse in and after a few minutes, it came flying out of the sand and beat the crap out of the new wrasse. He said it was like 9 inches long then. Crazy story.

I also was taking some sand out of my big tank to set up my little tank for the dwarf sea horses, and my coris wrasse was in that spot. He scared the crap out of me, and went flying out of the tank like a torpedo and hit the ceiling. He's fine though. That happened about 2 weeks ago.

I had a 7 inch long Blue regal just disappear and never found. How does a fish that big just vanish?

possibly he died in between the rocks and was eaten but the clean up crew. i had several fishes disapear when i first started up my tank and did't have a clue as to what happened to them, untill one day, one of my fish died and on the day of its death there was a few hermits working on it by next morning  it was just bones and it was 4" lunare wrasse. so the clean up crew works pretty fast.
