Well if you built that yourself you did a hell of a good job. The rock work is excellent I love Tonga rock. Are the lights T5's or MH? Very nice I had a Gorogian- the last pic cant spell and i killed it dont know why???? must have dont something wrong.....
Thank you Regina, the lights are MH 2 X 175 watts, have some Blue led panels on order, as for the gorgonian i just got it about 3 days ago my first and it doing good so far(nock on wood), as for the stand i did built it my self,, you can check out the the build pics in the diy section.

Alot of Gorgonia, if from florida, dont like alot of light. They are found in deep waters under cave ledges and stuff. Mostly between 40-600 ft.
It might of died from to much light, or not enough flow. They like mad flow!
NIce piece of info on the Gorgonia, I will diffinitly put him onder the ledge to shelter from some f the light.
I did some further research on the Gorgonian family, and found that they are basically two groups of gorgonian. some Gorgonian form symbiotic relation with zooxanthellae and other rely primarily on filter feeding. Goronians that are brownish in color are the species that form this relation with zooxanthellae and rely mostly on photosynthesis, usually found in more shallow water with strong currents to filter feed also but thoes not depend on the filter feeding as a main source of food. Other Gorgonians that are more brightly colored (Red, Purple and yellow) does not form symbiotic relationwith zooxanthellae, but depend highly on filter feeding as its primary source of food, typically found in shallow with strong currents but can also thrive indepths of several thousands feet.
Yeah, i should of told you that. My bad. Your pics weren't pulling up bc my internet was running slow, so i just assumed that you had a colorful one. So now, in your case, i guess you will need more light for it. lol.
I have 4 large gorgonians and im getting 4 or 5 more soon. :) cant wait
Its cool, i actually moved min up to thet top of the rock work with better lighthing and more flow. gonna try to get me some colorful ones.
